1.6-mm wide, and 1-mm thick. A tensile strength of approximately 34 MPa was recorded after a 28 day curing period in which 0.1, 0.2, and 0.4% of the total dry weight represented the different volumes of fibers added. Moreover, freeze-thaw cycles of recurring 1-h cooling at 207 degrees Celsius followed by a 1-h thawing at 207 degrees Celsius was carried out on the concrete cylinders. The results showed that although not significantly, the addition of HDPE fibers as secondary reinforcement improved shrinkage and freeze-thaw resistance of concrete. 8PDF Image | HDPE FIBER REINFORCED RECYCLED AGGREGATE CONCRETE
