VII MOLD TRYOUT As with most new molds, a mold tryout was performed to check the mold performance. Before using the mold for the first time, it was treated with a suitable mold release agent to assure the melted plastic, in this case high density polyethylene (HDPE), will not adhere to the mold surface.
